I was talking with a friend who told me about a great French Onion Soup recipe. Here it is:
2 bags of onions - 3 lbs each
1 stick of butter
1/4 cup of soy sauce
6 dashes of Worchestershire sauce
3 large cans of beef broth
Season to taste.
Slice onions to rings. In stock pot, cook onions and butter only until the onions soften. Add Worchestershire and soy sauces, stir to coat all onions. Add beef broth and season to taste. Simmer for at least 3 hours.
Add mozzarella cheese and bread and you are ready to enjoy.
